Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jab Buckeye (ranked 1893 p4p, 659 weight class) and Jarna Kuiva (ranked 260 p4p, 88 weight class). Buckeye comes to the cage accompanied by Right above it lil Wayne . Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 16 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jab Buckeye! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 14 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jarna Kuiva! The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Andrew Berry and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Buckeye with a lazy takedown attempt and Kuiva counters with a right hand to the body. Kuiva pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Buckeye back to the cage. Kuiva follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
It looks like Jab Buckeye has been cut. Kuiva scores with a body shot.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Buckeye. Buckeye tries for a takedown but Kuiva circles away easily and Kuiva counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jab Buckeye. That's going to take a lot out of him. Nice straight punches there by Kuiva. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Kuiva. Kuiva throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Kuiva jabs Buckeye right on the nose. Buckeye blinks but takes it well. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Buckeye displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Kuiva throws out the jab. Kuiva scores with a jab to the jaw. Jab Buckeye seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Buckeye is trying hard to land a takedown here. Kuiva sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Kuiva misses with a wild combination.
Buckeye appears to be looking for a big counter.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kuiva scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Buckeye walks into a jab. Buckeye misses with a takedown attempt and Kuiva counters with a lovely shot to the body. Buckeye misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Buckeye is breathing heavily. Buckeye takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Buckeye with a poor takedown and Kuiva connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Buckeye takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Jab Buckeye's cut is getting worse. Buckeye needs to keep his hands up - Kuiva had a free shot at his head there. This has been an exciting period of action! Kuiva connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. A punch lands to the side of Buckeye 's head but he takes it in his stride.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kuiva ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Jarna Kuiva is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Buckeye fails with the takedown and Kuiva makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Kuiva fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Kuiva throws a shot to the body.
Kuiva fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Buckeye looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Buckeye's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Kuiva connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Buckeye scrambles back to his feet. Kuiva throws out a powerful jab.
Jab Buckeye's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Buckeye misses with a takedown and Kuiva counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Kuiva feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Buckeye sprawling to the canvas! Buckeye rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Kuiva finish him?!
Kuiva is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Buckeye rather than just go for the knockout. Kuiva with a body punch. A glancing blow. Kuiva darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Jeez, Jab Buckeye's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked. Kuiva ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Buckeye seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Kuiva shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Buckeye is backing up but Kuiva catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Buckeye covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Kuiva Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:09 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jarna Kuiva! During a confident post fight interview, Jarna Kuiva thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
