Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 25 - 27 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Lyle Alzado!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 12 - 0, fighting out of London, Ispa Murhapuro!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Luis Engracia and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alzado tried to score with a low kick but Murhapuro checks it.
Murhapuro steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Alzado.
Lyle Alzado seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Alzado swinging wildly here.
Alzado connects with a solid leg kick.
Alzado throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Murhapuro was covering up waiting for the punch and Alzado finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Alzado chips away with some ground and pound.
Alzado working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Murhapuro has his foot on Alzado's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Alzado works his way back into a safe position though.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Alzado's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Alzado postures up in Murhapuro's guard and throws a big left but Murhapuro blocks it.
Alzado is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Murhapuro has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Alzado is looking to defend but Murhapuro has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Alzado! Murhapuro pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Alzado taps out and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Ispa Murhapuro!
