Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Braun Westen (ranked 6910 p4p, 2468 weight class) and Timo De Vries (ranked 200 p4p, 104 weight class). De Vries is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by KLOUD - Exit Alive. Timo De Vries is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Braun Westen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Timo De Vries! The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Dmitry Maklakov and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Westen is looking to score with low kicks. De Vries raises up his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that De Vries has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Westen scores with a jab to the body. Westen misses with a low kick.

Westen definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Westen scores with a spinning back kick! Westen lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
It looks like Timo De Vries has been cut. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Westen looks to throw the jab but De Vries is out of range. and De Vries counters with a left to the body. Braun Westen is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's one minute gone in the round. Westen lands a slapping body shot.
De Vries ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. And an attempted straight right on the counter from De Vries! But no joy. Westen throws a leg kick but De Vries moved away. De Vries throws a counter combo. Westen is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by De Vries. De Vries gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Westen gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! De Vries is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Braun Westen! During a confident post fight interview, Braun Westen thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him. In defeat, Timo De Vries stepped up to the mic, saying 'I underestimated my foe tonight - sorry to my fans and family.'.
