Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jay Cartwright!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Romeo Del Gaiso!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Alec Ball and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Del Gaiso shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Cartwright's guard.
Cartwright tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Cartwright definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Cartwright has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Del Gaiso can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Del Gaiso must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Cartwright is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Del Gaiso is aware though and is defending well.

Cartwright bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Del Gaiso's guard.
Del Gaiso is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
