PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Bradley Dunn (ranked 23229 p4p, 3692 weight class) and Damien Hawthorne (ranked 736 p4p, 460 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Hawthorne's choice of entrance music: Schism by Tool. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bradley Dunn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Damien Hawthorne!
The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dunn takes one to the side of the head.
Dunn rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Hawthorne moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Hawthorne fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Dunn pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Hawthorne looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Hawthorne stuns Dunn with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Dunn takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Dunn just misses with a punch to the body.

Dunn misses with a hook. Hawthorne ducked under it nicely.
Dunn lands a jab to the head.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Hawthorne throws a right and a left that both miss.
Dunn works Hawthorne's body with a nice hook.

Hawthorne throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Dunn misses with an uppercut.
Dunn throws a body punch but Hawthorne moves out of range.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Hawthorne! But no joy.
Dunn throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Hawthorne lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Hawthorne throws a nice outside leg kick.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hawthorne throws a lazy right hand but Dunn sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Hawthorne throws a hook but Dunn avoids it easily.
Dunn swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Hawthorne avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Dunn keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Hawthorne.
Hawthorne dodges the punch combination from Dunn.
Hawthorne changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Nice straight punches there by Hawthorne. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Hawthorne.
Hawthorne cracks Dunn with an open hand slap.

and Hawthorne counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Hawthorne connects with a beautiful left hand that drops Dunn onto his butt! Dunn bounces straight back up though - he's OK. After the ref checks him out, we're back to the action.

Dunn is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Nice uppercut lands for Hawthorne. That snapped Dunn's head back.
Oh Dunn is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Dunn walks straight into a perfectly timed right hook, crumpling him to the floor! Dunn is in all kinds of trouble here - can he beat the count? 3,4,5,6,7,8,9....10 - he's out and it's by a long way too - he didn't ever look like beating that count!
