Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Morble Schrudinger (ranked 6559 p4p, 6497 weight class) and Kamar Tazmachev (ranked 715 p4p, 714 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A low kick lands for Tazmachev.

Schrudinger closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Tazmachev quickly recovers to half guard.

You get the feeling that Tazmachev really doesn't like being in this position too much.
We've been hearing that Schrudinger has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

Schrudinger is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Tazmachev is defending well though. Schrudinger let's go of the attempt for now.

Schrudinger connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Tazmachev to escape the position.

Schrudinger is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Schrudinger gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Schrudinger gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Schrudinger apologises and we restart here on the feet.
Schrudinger really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
