Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ding Dong (ranked 4746 p4p, 4938 weight class) and Bryan Caste (ranked 452 p4p, 472 weight class). Caste comes into a darkened arena with his song building. El Jarabe Tapatio kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Ding Dong! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Bryan Caste! The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Steven Brown and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dong displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Caste. Caste lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Dong circles away quickly and effectively. Dong shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Dong working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Caste's head. Dong content to stall in guard here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Caste wants to stand but Dong is controlling the position. Dong is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dong pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Caste is keeping the position for now. Dong stays in close to Caste's body and controls the position. Dong has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Dong looking to sit in guard and control but Caste gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Caste's corner is telling him to maintain position. Dong wants to hit a sweep here but Caste passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Dong there! Dong is trying desperately to improve position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Caste can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Dong is looking to escape. Dong tries to hold on but Caste postures up. Dong is trying desperately to improve position. Caste trying to control but he's not successful this time. Dong working to try and regain half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Caste has control of Dong's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Dong regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Dong looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dong tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! BOOM! Caste connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Caste manages to capitalize on a mistake by Dong to take his back! Caste is looking to finish with some ground and pound! Dong rolls, trying to escape but Caste keeps control of the position.
Caste trying to control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. I really don't envy Dong right now.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Dong is trying to get back to his feet but Caste has full control of the position and if anything, Dong has just worked his way into a worse spot. Dong knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Caste on the ground. Dong tries to escape but Caste has the hooks in and won't let him break free. Caste is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Dong knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Dong for a finish. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Bryan Caste dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Dong manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Caste on his heels. He'll look to pass Caste's guard now, I'm sure. Caste wants to sweep here but Dong controlling him for the moment. Dong is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Caste wants to sweep but no luck. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Caste is trying to keep Dong in close.

Dong controlling the position from side mount. Caste tries to buck Dong off but Dong is having none of it. Caste is letting Dong control him for a moment. That's two minutes gone in the round. Caste struggling a bit here. Dong controlling the position. Dong advances to full mount. A nice elbow there by Dong. Dong looking to control and managing it successfully.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dong punishing his opponent with strikes. Caste is desperately trying to improve his position but Dong has a good base and remains in mount. Dong can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Caste is looking to escape. Dong controlling the pace for now. Caste wants to control but Dong is having none of it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dong lands a heavy elbow. Dong lands a couple of good shots and Caste has given up his back, trying to escape the position! Caste tries to escape the position.
Dong connects with a big shot to the side of Caste's head.

Caste is rocked! Dong keeps control of the position easily here as Caste tries to buck him off.

Dong feints and as Caste raises his hands in defense, Dong changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Caste seems to have recovered his senses. Dong engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Ding Dong overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Caste is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Dong throwing strikes from guard but Caste blocks nicely. Dong showing good wrestling skills to control the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dong trying to control but Caste is working from the bottom. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Caste holds on and takes a little breather. Dong is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Caste can do to turn this around?

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Caste darts in and clinches Dong up against the cage. Dong is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Caste can't fight it off and eventually Dong manages to take the fight to the floor. Caste looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Dong's corner is telling him to maintain position. Caste looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Caste is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Caste can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Dong controls the pace. Caste escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Dong gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Caste wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Dong is now in half guard. Dong winds up and cracks Caste with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dong takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Caste tries to get to full guard but Dong has control of the leg. Dong is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Caste throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

Dong wants to free his trapped foot but Caste is holding on for dear life with his legs.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Dong in particular looking to stall.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Dong shoots in and bounces Caste off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Dong stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Caste swivels though and keeps the full guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Dong drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Caste dives on top into guard.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Ding Dong clearly takes that round. That's time! Dong's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Dong feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Caste kicks Dong off and gets to his feet. Caste fails with the takedown and Dong counters by moving into the clinch. Dong gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Dong accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Dong controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Dong pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Caste is keeping the position for now. Dong makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dong looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Caste wants to get back to his feet but Dong is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Caste looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Dong on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Caste is defended easily by Dong. Caste is absolutely dripping with sweat - he looks exhausted. Caste has closed the distance and engaged Dong in a clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Caste jumps guard but Dong turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Ding Dong has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bryan Caste. Dong gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Dong looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Dong is nestled in close to Caste, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Dong content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Caste wants to improve his position but Dong is controlling well.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Dong seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Dong controlling the action here. Caste moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Caste throwing strikes off his back to little effect.

Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards. Caste goes for a double leg but Dong avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Dong continues to drive forward. Dong changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Dong dives in and scores a takedown into Caste's guard. Caste is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Dong defends well. Dong not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
