Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alicia Eye (ranked 5002 p4p, 4620 weight class) and Nick Newbury (ranked 585 p4p, 548 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Alicia Eye! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Nick Newbury! The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Colin Fotheringham and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Eye closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Newbury is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Eye asserts his dominance and retains side control. Newbury is being controlled here. Eye seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Newbury for as long as he can get away with. Newbury is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Eye is controlling him well. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A lull in the action here. Eye's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. More hug and hope from Eye. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Eye advances nicely into full mount. Eye controlling his opponent.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Alicia Eye dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Eye scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Eye just content to control the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Eye has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Eye works to advance to full mount. Newbury defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Eye content just to control the position here. Newbury is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Eye controlling the pace for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. This is a sustained period of stalling by Eye. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Further stalling from Eye. Newbury really wants to buck Eye off and get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Eye controlling the position easily from mount. Eye is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Newbury can do to turn this around?
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. If it seems like I'm not saying a lot, it's just because Eye is stinking the place up with his stalling. Newbury is trying to stand up. Newbury is breathing heavily. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Eye content just to control the position here. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Alicia Eye dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Eye looking to score a takedown here. Newbury is defending well but Eye drives through and ends up in Newbury's guard. Alicia Eye overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Eye showing good wrestling skills to control the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
That's one minute gone in the round. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Newbury tries to sprawl but Eye drives through with a takedown into half guard. Newbury takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Eye is figuring out what he wants to do next.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Eye continues to hold on tight. The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup. Newbury is trying to stand up here but Eye is controlling him well.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Eye on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Newbury has taken the fight to the clinch.
Eye gets a trip takedown into half guard. Eye perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Eye passes the guard and advances to mount! Eye takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Newbury is trying to get back to his feet but can't. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Eye controlling from the full mount. Nick Newbury has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
And that's the end of the fight! Alicia Eye showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Eye, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
