Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ben Richards (ranked 4968 p4p, 7076 weight class) and Shadow Stat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ben Richards!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Shadow Stat!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Alyssa Summers and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Richards closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Stat did well to prevent Richards getting side control.
Stat is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Richards stands up from half guard.
Richards scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Stat manages to escape and get back to his feet!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Richards misses with a double jab
and Stat counters with a left and a right that stings Richards.
Richards decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Richards frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Richards seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Stat for as long as he can get away with.

Richards wants to control the pace but Stat is squirming around nicely.
Richards has control of Stat's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Stat regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Richards tries to control but Stat wriggling away.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Richards is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Stat can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Stat really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Richards. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Richards cracks Stat with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
