Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Junior Dillon (ranked 24894 p4p, 4529 weight class) and Cody Gonzalez (ranked 0 p4p, 527 weight class). Cody Gonzalez will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Cody Gonzalez!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Sam Margolis and Daniel Bishop.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gonzalez shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Gonzalez was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Dillon explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
Gonzalez misses with a head kick.

Gonzalez closes the distance and clinches.
Dillon has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Gonzalez after a bit of a struggle.

Gonzalez gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Dillon regains guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Dillon is pulling down on Gonzalez's head. It's preventing any offense from Gonzalez, at least for the moment.
Gonzalez throwing strikes but missing.
Gonzalez scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Dillon will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Gonzalez trying to control the position from guard on top but Dillon is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Dillon seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.

Gonzalez drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Dillon manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Gonzalez has Dillon in his guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dillon is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Gonzalez wants to sweep but no luck.
Gonzalez is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Dillon decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Dillon clinches up against the cage.
Dillon has a couple of punches blocked by Gonzalez.
Gonzalez tries to circle away but Dillon has him pinned against the cage.
Gonzalez on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Dillon is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Dillon is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Gonzalez is defending well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Junior Dillon. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Dillon tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Gonzalez avoids it.
Dillon tries to pull guard but Gonzalez forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Gonzalez has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Gonzalez misses with a knee to the head.

Gonzalez jumps guard and drags Dillon to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Dillon is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Gonzalez wants to stand and escape but Dillon is having none of it.

Dillon is stalling in the full guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Gonzalez is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Dillon is controlling him.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Gonzalez moves into the clinch.
Dillon jumps guard but Gonzalez turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Gonzalez is pressed up against the cage. Dillon has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Gonzalez down to the mat. Gonzalez avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Gonzalez moves into the clinch.

Gonzalez has Dillon pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Gonzalez pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Dillon tumbling to the mat - Gonzalez dives into Dillon's guard.

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Cody Gonzalez will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Dillon steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Gonzalez. That one must have hurt.

Gonzalez drives through with a takedown into Dillon's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Dillon holds on and takes a little breather.

Gonzalez drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Dillon dives on top into guard.

Gonzalez controls Dillon momentarily but Dillon frees himself.

Gonzalez might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Dillon haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Dillon is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Gonzalez looking for a triangle here. Dillon is fighting it but it looks tight! Gonzalez pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Dillon is tapping out - this one is all over!
