PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Austin Tress (ranked 4805 p4p, 4625 weight class) and Jimmy Eigenhuis (ranked 0 p4p, 557 weight class). Tress kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Eye of the Tiger. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tress swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Eigenhuis throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Eigenhuis pulls out of a head kick attempt.
No luck for Eigenhuis with that takedown attempt.

Tress moves into the clinch.
Tress creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.

Eigenhuis manages to break the clinch.
Eigenhuis steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Tress.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Tress closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Eigenhuis decides to pull guard.

Eigenhuis has his foot on Tress's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Tress works his way back into a safe position though.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
