Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Irish Power (ranked 1512 p4p, 2738 weight class) and Claude Dacre (ranked 165 p4p, 267 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Irish Power!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Claude Dacre!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Daniel Blasius and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dacre tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Power was well out of range. Poor timing from Dacre.
Power tries to counter by clinching up but Dacre breaks away and moves out of range.
Power throws a shot from downtown. Dacre moves away and avoids it.
Dacre moves into the clinch.
Dacre lands a right hand that snaps the head of Power backwards.
A short body shot lands from Dacre as the two fighters clinch.
Dacre misses with a punch on the inside.
Power tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Dacre scores with a shoulder strike.
Power tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Dacre avoids it.
Dacre blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Power tries to land a knee to the head but Dacre blocks with his arms.
Dacre lands a shoulder strike.
Power goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Dacre pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Dacre gets tackled into the cage by Power. Power maintains the clinch.

Dacre is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Power to keep the fight standing.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Dacre misses with a shot to the kidneys.

Dacre manages to break the clinch.
Dacre fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
An attempted straight right counter from Power misses the target.
Dacre has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Dacre closes this distance looking for a takedown but Power circles away.
Irish Power has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Claude Dacre.
Dacre is looking to clinch.
Power throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Dacre stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Dacre swats away the attempt to clinch by Power.
Dacre is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Power with a body shot.
Power thows a left - swing and a miss!
Power forces Dacre back against the cage and clinches.
Power lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Power misses with a short punch on the inside.
Dacre lands with a left to the head.
Dacre misses with a hook to the ribs.

Dacre gets a trip takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Dacre slows the pace down in half guard.
Dacre throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Power is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Power knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Dacre on the ground.

Power is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Alpha Brasil that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.
Dacre missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Power is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Well, if Dacre is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Power wants to improve his position but Dacre is controlling well.
Dacre is looking to take a break and control but Power is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Dacre has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Claude Dacre dominated that round.
That's time! Power's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Dacre tries to close the distance and clinch but Power swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Power tries to land a leg kick but Dacre saw it coming and moves away.
Power darts in and clinches Dacre up against the cage.
Power tries to throw a body punch but Dacre avoids it by throwing Power back against the cage.
Dacre blocks an uppercut.
Dacre has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Power uses from the top position.
Power is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Dacre is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Power defends well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dacre lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Power on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Power tries to get out of the position.

Dacre is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Power is trying to escape and Dacre transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Power is forced to tap! Nice work there by Dacre! Very nice indeed!
