Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Christopher Young (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rob Powder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Christopher Young! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Rob Powder! The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Daniel Bishop and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Young stuffs the takedown. A combination from Powder does no damage. Young closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Powder looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Young wants to stand but Powder has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Young stands up and beckons Powder to join him on the feet. Young tries to clinch up but Powder circles away and keeps his distance. Young gets the takedown into side control. Young is looking to take a break and control but Powder is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Powder is trying to improve his position. Young tries for a kimura. Powder should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Powder with the active half guard here but Young passes nicely into side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Young is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Young gets to mount! Powder was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly. Young tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Powder is desperately trying to improve his position but Young has a good base and remains in mount. A nice elbow there by Young. Young wants to control the pace but Powder is squirming around nicely. Powder is working to get back to half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Young working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Young putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Powder is wriggling around trying to escape.
Powder takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Young manages to capitalize on a mistake by Powder to take his back! Young tries to keep control of the position but Powder is staying busy. Powder is really stuck here.

Powder changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Young looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Young wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Powder tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Young is looking to regain half guard here but Powder keeps moving and retains side control. Young is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Powder is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Young has managed to free his arm - good work. Young trying to control but Powder postures up.

That's one minute gone in the round. Young is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Powder's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Powder's back! Young keeps control of the position easily here as Powder tries to buck him off.

That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Young is trying to control the action in half guard but Powder is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Powder keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Powder looking for submissions off his back.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Powder fails with the takedown and Young decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Powder's guard. Young content to stall in guard here. Powder has his foot on Young's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Young works his way back into a safe position though. Young passes Powder's left leg - he's now in half guard. Powder has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, Young escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by Young!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Young is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Powder is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Young wants to lay and pray for a moment but Powder keeps working. Powder manages to work his way to half guard, despite Young's best efforts. Powder looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Powder looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Powder is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Young pulls his head out easily. Young prevents Powder from improving his position. Well, if Young is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Young lands a nice short elbow. Powder looking for submissions off his back. Powder taking some punishment here, with Young in his half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Powder misses with a takedown and Young counters with a two punch combo. Young shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Powder pinned against the cage. Powder gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Young bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. Powder with a poor takedown and Young makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Excellent takedown into side control there by Powder. Powder thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Powder is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Young knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Powder tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Powder has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Oh but Powder has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Young goes limp - he's gone! Powder jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
