Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Illegal Immigrant (ranked 2427 p4p, 3878 weight class) and Dakarai Kasongo (ranked 305 p4p, 477 weight class). Immigrant's entrance music is Immigrant Song. A fine choice. Dakarai Kasongo told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Illegal Immigrant!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dakarai Kasongo!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Saam Ante and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Immigrant lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Immigrant misses the jab.
Immigrant changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Immigrant misses with a straight right.
Kasongo walks into a left hand.
Nice body punch from Immigrant.
Immigrant scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Immigrant misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Kasongo.
Nice cross by Immigrant.
Kasongo goes for a double leg but Immigrant avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Immigrant continues to drive forward.
Kasongo's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Immigrant connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Kasongo scrambles back to his feet.
It looks like Dakarai Kasongo has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Immigrant misses with an uppercut. Kasongo saw that one coming.
Immigrant sizes up Kasongo with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Kasongo takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Immigrant lands with an uppercut that bounces Kasongo off the cage and back into range.
Immigrant scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Kasongo doesn't seem bothered though.

Kasongo is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Kasongo's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
That's two minutes gone in the round.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kasongo accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Kasongo lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Immigrant can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Kasongo controls the pace.
Kasongo works over Immigrant with some ground and pound from guard.
Immigrant knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kasongo on the ground.
Kasongo is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Kasongo won't allow Immigrant to get back to his feet.
Kasongo postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Immigrant wants to get back to his feet but Kasongo is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Immigrant wants to stand and escape. He's got his foot on Kasongo's hips, looking to push off. But Kasongo grabs a hold of the leg and drops back for an ankle lock! It's hard to tell if he's got it. Both fighters look composed - OH, not anymore they don't! Immigrant screams like a kid who's trapped his fingers in the car door and taps out! Yikes, that must have hurt - hopefully it's not snapped anything!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Heel Hook). Dakarai Kasongo!
Our winner, Dakarai Kasongo, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
