Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Carlos Arnoldo Perda Segurio (ranked 21600 p4p, 3927 weight class) and Daniel Sainty (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Perda Segurio comes to the cage accompanied by Cypress Hill - Highlife. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Carlos Arnoldo Perda Segurio! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 25 - 33 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Daniel Sainty! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Perda Segurio throws a right hand that misses
and Sainty counters with a nice double leg into guard. Sainty engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Perda Segurio looking for subs off his back but Sainty has passed one foot through into half guard.
Sainty content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Perda Segurio is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sainty wants to pass the guard but Perda Segurio is defending well. Perda Segurio has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Sainty seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Perda Segurio does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Perda Segurio is looking to improve his position.
Sainty trying to pass the guard but Perda Segurio defending well. Perda Segurio is holding on to half guard well. Sainty content to control rather than advance. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Sainty is thwarting Perda Segurio's attempts to control the position.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Sainty keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Sainty appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick. Perda Segurio misses with a double jab
so Sainty counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Sainty showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Sainty trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Perda Segurio lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Sainty looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Sainty escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Perda Segurio gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Perda Segurio trying to control the position from guard on top but Sainty is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Perda Segurio throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sainty is looking for a triangle but Perda Segurio pushes his legs off easily.
Sainty keeping moving, preventing Perda Segurio from controlling successfully. Sainty isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Perda Segurio stacks Sainty on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Perda Segurio! Perda Segurio wants to stand but Sainty has his arm trapped. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Perda Segurio advances to mount. Sainty sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Daniel Sainty dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. Perda Segurio swings away with a body shot that misses
and Sainty decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Perda Segurio's guard. Sainty engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Perda Segurio throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Sainty escapes and throws Perda Segurio's legs to the side, diving into side control! Perda Segurio manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Perda Segurio stalling away here and it's allowed Sainty to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Perda Segurio might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Perda Segurio avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Perda Segurio postures up in Sainty's guard and throws a big left but Sainty blocks it. Sainty has his foot on Perda Segurio's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Perda Segurio works his way back into a safe position though. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Perda Segurio got a little sloppy there for a moment and Sainty has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Perda Segurio has managed to get both his arms back between Sainty's legs - danger averted. Perda Segurio wants to control from the top but Sainty keeps moving. Sainty is looking for a triangle but Perda Segurio pushes his legs off easily.

Perda Segurio doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Perda Segurio manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Perda Segurio pushes down on Sainty's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Nice work. Sainty moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Perda Segurio. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Daniel Sainty showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round! Perda Segurio moves out of range as Sainty throws a body kick.
A quick step to the side and Perda Segurio tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. Sainty uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Perda Segurio.

Perda Segurio manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Daniel Sainty is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Perda Segurio throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Sainty works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Perda Segurio trying to stand up but can't free himself from Sainty's guard. Perda Segurio is looking to work some ground and pound but Sainty has wrist control. Perda Segurio throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Sainty holds on and takes a little breather.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Sainty keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Sainty tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Perda Segurio walks into a left hand. Perda Segurio misses with the body kick and Sainty counters with a nice double leg into side control. Perda Segurio won't be happy with that. Perda Segurio is trying to escape the position but Sainty is controlling the position. Perda Segurio struggling a bit here. Perda Segurio looks to move to half guard but instead Sainty has passed into mount! Damn! Sainty prevents Perda Segurio from getting the reversal.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sainty controlling his opponent. Perda Segurio is looking to improve his position but Sainty isn't that keen on the idea. Sainty looking to control and managing it successfully. Perda Segurio has given up his back. Will we see Sainty going for some submissions?
Sainty is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
Carlos Arnoldo Perda Segurio has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
And that's the end of the fight! Daniel Sainty comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Sainty has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
