Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tony Paulik (ranked 4839 p4p, 4840 weight class) and Dan Nagooyen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tony Paulik! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dan Nagooyen! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Steve Smith and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Paulik darts in looking for a takedown but Nagooyen gets double underhooks and turns Paulik into the cage. Nagooyen is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Nagooyen has clasped his hands together around Paulik's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Paulik is looking for a sweep. Paulik manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Nagooyen is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Paulik reverses the position - he's now on top in Nagooyen's guard. Nagooyen looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Paulik lands a couple of decent looking shots. Paulik knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Nagooyen on the ground. Nagooyen is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Paulik defends well. Paulik is stalling in the full guard. Paulik throwing strikes but missing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Paulik missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Paulik slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Nagooyen trying to keep a closed guard but Paulik is proving a slippery customer.
Nagooyen is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Paulik is aware though and is defending well. Nagooyen is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Paulik has his hands clasped together but Nagooyen extends and breaks Paulik's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Nagooyen.
