The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diaz doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Diaz misses with a lunging right hand

and Bol counters by moving into the clinch.
Bol has a couple of punches blocked by Diaz.
A nice left hand lands by Bol.
Bol swings wildly with an uppercut but Diaz uses good head movement to avoid it.
Bol keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Diaz's efforts to push away.

Maverick Diaz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bol uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Diaz.
Diaz uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Bol keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Diaz moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.

Diaz throws a hook but Bol avoids it easily.
Diaz fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Bol on the side of the head.

Diaz with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Bol to score with a decent uppercut.
Diaz is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Diaz throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Diaz lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Diaz is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Bol.
Bol tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Diaz was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

and Bol cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
A punch lands to the side of Bol 's head but he takes it in his stride.

It seemed like Bol was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Diaz throws the left hand but Bol avoids the punch easily.
Bol wants to counter with a clinch but Diaz pushes him away.

Bol darts in and clinches Diaz up against the cage.
Bol can't find room to land a body shot as Diaz controls the action.
