Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Aziz Behih (ranked 4152 p4p, 3210 weight class) and Morgan Drundson (ranked 192 p4p, 149 weight class). Aziz Behih has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Aziz Behih! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Morgan Drundson! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Peter Branson and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Behih is looking to clinch. Behih has Drundson up against the cage in a clinch.
Drundson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Behih has Drundson pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Behih pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Drundson tumbling to the mat - Behih dives into Drundson's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Behih stays in close to Drundson's body and controls the position. Drundson looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Behih controlling from the top position. Behih really is a fat lump. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Behih accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Drundson can do anything to dispel that myth. Behih seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Drundson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Drundson wants to control but Behih is keeping busy.
Drundson is staying active underneath Behih, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Drundson is trying to maintain the position but Behih is very close to passing his half guard. Behih thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Drundson trying to hold on to Behih's head to control him but Behih postures up.
Behih stands up and beckons Drundson to join him on the feet. Drundson tries a head kick but it misses.
Sloppy strikes from Drundson. Those never looked like landing. Drundson is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Behih.

It looks like Morgan Drundson has been cut. Behih wants to clinch up but Drundson keeps it at a distance. Drundson is still on wobbly legs! Can Behih finish him? Drundson throws a sloppy head kick and Behih moves out of range easily. Drundson seems to have recovered his senses. Behih scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Behih controls the position from side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Behih tries for a kimura but Drundson is defending well.

As Drundson tries to get set, Behih tries to push him back and clinch up but Drundson manages to avoid the attempt. Drundson moves into the clinch. Drundson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Morgan Drundson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Drundson clinches up with Behih and pushes him back against the cage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Behih drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Drundson gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Behih is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Behih not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. Drundson throws a nice inside leg kick. Behih is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Drundson can do to turn this around? Drundson swings for the body but Behih moves out of range.
Drundson gets caught flat footed, as Behih shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Behih missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Drundson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Behih. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Behih wants to lay and pray for a moment but Drundson keeps working. Behih decides to stand up, so the ref orders Drundson to his feet. Drundson throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Drundson. A momentary lapse in concentration from Drundson enables Behih to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Drundson manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Drundson trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Behih's corner is telling him to maintain position. Behih stands and throws Drundson's legs to the side, diving into side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Behih creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Drundson sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Drundson is working to avoid the ground and pound but Behih connects with a decent elbow. Behih trying to control the action but Drundson is working from the bottom. Behih takes a little break here. Drundson wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Behih is looking to take a break and control but Drundson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Behih remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Drundson is trying to control Behih's posture but Behih avoids it. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
