The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Brand as Amery shoots in.
Brand missing with a left hand there. Amery was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Amery misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Brand now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Amery fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Amery. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A cross from Brand lands.
The fighters circle momentarily. Brand darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Amery tries to clinch there but Brand circles away.
Amery with a lazy takedown attempt
and Brand counters with a stiff right hand.
Brand cracks Amery with a good jab.
Brand misses with a few strikes there.
Amery has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Brand finds it's way round the side to connect with Amery's head.
Brand misses with an uppercut. Amery saw that one coming.

and Amery takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Amery looks for a takedown but Brand sprawls well.
Amery throws a left and a right that both miss
and Brand counters with a crisp right that sends Amery to the canvas! Brand follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!
