Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Chad Repine (ranked 1716 p4p, 2173 weight class) and Aleksey Viktorov (ranked 182 p4p, 117 weight class). Viktorov has chosen Lyube - Davay Za as his entrance music. Aleksey Viktorov acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Chad Repine! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 16 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Aleksey Viktorov! The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Russell Pearce and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Repine misses the jab. Repine is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Viktorov. The fighters circle momentarily. Repine darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Jab, jab by Repine - just one landing. Viktorov fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Repine, pushing him back against the cage. Viktorov tries to pull guard but Repine won't allow it.
Repine escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Viktorov shoots in but no luck this time. Repine swings for the body but Viktorov moves out of range.
Viktorov shoots in for a takedown but Repine shows good takedown defense. Repine has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Rickys House in the buildup to the fight. Chad Repine has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Aleksey Viktorov. Viktorov rushes Repine and presses him up against the cage. Viktorov decides to pull guard. Viktorov is looking for a triangle but Repine pushes his legs off easily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Repine wants to stand and escape but instead Viktorov has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Viktorov is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Repine is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Repine has escaped and now he's on top!

That's one minute gone in the round. Viktorov is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Repine wants to stand but Viktorov is controlling his posture from full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Viktorov has his foot on Repine's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Repine works his way back into a safe position though. Viktorov controls Repine momentarily but Repine frees himself. Viktorov throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Viktorov has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Cozad MMA Hilo. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Viktorov is on top in guard.
Viktorov is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Viktorov trying to control the position from guard on top but Repine is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Viktorov seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Viktorov drops back looking for a leg! Repine is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Repine manages to kick Viktorov off! Viktorov jumps back into Repine's guard. Viktorov looking to pass the guard. Repine keeping moving, preventing Viktorov from controlling successfully. Repine knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Viktorov on the ground. Viktorov stands and throws Repine's legs to the side, diving into side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Repine is not content to let Viktorov control the position. Viktorov tries for a kimura but Repine is defending well. Viktorov working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Viktorov tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Aleksey Viktorov dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. Repine misses the jab. Repine stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Repine throws a hook but Viktorov blocks it. Viktorov gets in close and instigates a clinch. Viktorov tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Viktorov tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Repine smiles and moves away.
Repine throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Viktorov. A cross from Repine lands. Viktorov takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Viktorov clinches up against the cage. Repine's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Repine scores with a punch to the head. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Repine pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Viktorov is looking to clinch. Repine goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Viktorov is rocked! Repine throws a hook but Viktorov avoids it easily. Viktorov is still on wobbly legs! Can Repine finish him? Repine circles away from the clinch attempt.
Viktorov seems to have recovered his senses. Repine defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Viktorov. Chad Repine has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Aleksey Viktorov. Repine closes the distance and lands a crisp combination that knocks Viktorov out cold! Viktorov corner are devastated, head in hands behind our commentary position. Poor guys.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Chad Repine! Chad Repine seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
