Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Leon Nicks (ranked 5083 p4p, 5608 weight class) and Elrick Lee (ranked 518 p4p, 551 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Yves DeLean and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nicks is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Nicks tries to close the distance and clinch up but Lee swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Lee misses with a jab, cross combination.

Oooooh!!! Lee has knocked Nicks down with a huge combo! Lee steps away and waves a wobbly Nicks back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Elrick Lee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Nicks has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Nicks is nestled in close to Lee, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Lee is trying to get back to his feet but Nicks has full control of the position and if anything, Lee has just worked his way into a worse spot.
