PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Edward Conan (ranked 149 p4p, 206 weight class) and Osiris Egyptian (ranked 19 p4p, 26 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Osiris Egyptian was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 37 - 19 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Osiris Egyptian!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Richard Clark and Phil Schofield.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Egyptian pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Egyptian has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Conan keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Conan throws a hook to the side of Egyptian's head but Egyptian sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Egyptian is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Conan has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Egyptian can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Despite the aggression on Egyptian's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

Conan shoots in and bounces Egyptian off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
