The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Robert Douchet and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee avoids a kick to the body.
Lee misses with a jab, cross combination.
Shewmaker throws a looping overhand right but Lee ducks down to avoid it.
Lee drops Shewmaker with a beautiful combination! Shewmaker stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Lee is looking for the KO!
It looks like Frank Shewmaker has been cut.
Lee is looking to clinch but Shewmaker is avoiding it.
Shewmaker avoids the head kick by Lee.
Lee misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
A head kick from Shewmaker lands but Lee takes it in his stride.
It looks like Elrick Lee has been cut.
Elrick Lee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Shewmaker misses with a few strikes there.
Lee pulls out of a head kick attempt.
It looked like Shewmaker was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Shewmaker looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Lee has cracked Shewmaker with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Lee lands another huge swinging hook and Shewmaker tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Shewmaker, before Lee can land any more shots!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Elrick Lee!
