Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Detkhunjon Sitsongrit (ranked 58 p4p, 419 weight class) and Aaron Petrov (ranked 4 p4p, 24 weight class). Petrov has chosen Star.One - Original Badman Feat. Takura & Assassin as his entrance music. Detkhunjon Sitsongrit could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Aaron Petrov's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 19 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Detkhunjon Sitsongrit! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 24 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Aaron Petrov! The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Mauricio Rocha and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Petrov takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Petrov thows a body kick. Sitsongrit tries to catch it but that hurt him. Sitsongrit throws a shot from downtown. Petrov moves away and avoids it. Petrov is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Sitsongrit with a body shot. Sitsongrit slips under a jab from Petrov. Sitsongrit loads up on a big right hand but Petrov slips the punch. Petrov misses with a lunging right hand
and Sitsongrit counters with a slapping leg kick. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Sitsongrit checks a leg kick. Sitsongrit connects with a jab. Sitsongrit on the wrong end of a nice jab. A slapping leg kick lands for Petrov.
Sitsongrit lands a right hook to the body.
Sitsongrit looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Sitsongrit drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Sitsongrit slips under a jab. A little feinted left hand from Sitsongrit on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Petrov throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Sitsongrit keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
That's one minute gone in the round. Petrov throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Sitsongrit counters with a leg kick. Petrov throws a leg kick but Sitsongrit sees it coming and checks it nicely. Sitsongrit looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger. Petrov keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Petrov thuds a left hand into Sitsongrit's body. Good shot there by Sitsongrit. Petrov misses with the body kick and Sitsongrit counters with an outside leg kick.
Petrov is looking to land body kicks. Petrov looks for the body kick but Sitsongrit saw that one coming. Sitsongrit fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Petrov. Sitsongrit connects with a good right hand that stumbles Petrov. Petrov circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Petrov is rocked! Sitsongrit scores with a jab to the head.
Petrov is still on wobbly legs! Can Sitsongrit finish him? Petrov just misses with a punch to the body.
Sitsongrit feinted there with a counter leg kick. Sitsongrit scores with a jab to the body. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Petrov has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Sitsongrit. Petrov misses with a lunging right hand
and Sitsongrit scores with a counter punch that sends Petrov to the canvas! Sitsongrit smells blood - he's punishing Petrov with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Petrov has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Detkhunjon Sitsongrit! Detkhunjon Sitsongrit retains his bantamweight title! After the fight, Detkhunjon Sitsongrit was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
