Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Curtis Rohl (ranked 6500 p4p, 6538 weight class) and Jose Moreno (ranked 604 p4p, 608 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Curtis Rohl! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jose Moreno! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Dillan Fox and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No luck with that takedown attempt from Rohl. Moreno tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Rohl defends well and Moreno ends up having to push Rohl into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Rohl throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Rohl misses with a head kick.
Moreno throws a fast counter high kick but Rohl manages to duck under it in time. Rohl throws a nice outside leg kick. Rohl takes one on the button. Rohl throws a lazy head kick and Moreno connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Moreno closes the distance and pushes Rohl back into the cage. Rohl missing with knees to the body.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Rohl takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Moreno wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rohl is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Moreno is defending well for now. Rohl misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Moreno.
Moreno is trying to break the clinch but Rohl is controlling him. Moreno told us before the fight that he's been working on his elbows. Moreno breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Rohl shoots in for a double leg but Moreno sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Rohl misses with the body kick letting Moreno counter with a right hand. Rohl goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Moreno fails with the takedown. Moreno throws a one two combo.
Moreno throws a front kick aimed at Rohl's knee but Rohl avoids it well. Moreno gets tackled into the cage by Rohl. Rohl maintains the clinch.

Moreno has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Rohl is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Rohl tries a knee to the head but Moreno blocks it.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Moreno jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Rohl walks away with a smile on his face. Moreno gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Rohl has Moreno up against the cage in a clinch.

Rohl is struggling to control the position. Moreno looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Moreno tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Rohl just stands there and leans against the cage. Moreno is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Rohl is defending well. Rohl tries a knee to the head but Moreno blocks it.

Rohl's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Moreno jumps guard.
Rohl works over Moreno with some ground and pound from guard. Rohl makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. We've been hearing that Rohl has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. Rohl has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Moreno has momentary wrist control but Rohl slips an elbow through the middle. Moreno keeping full guard, as Rohl tries to pass. Rohl postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Rohl with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Curtis Rohl dominated that second round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round! Moreno shoots in looking for a takedown. Rohl tries to sprawl out of it but Moreno keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Rohl manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Jose Moreno seems to be getting the better of the standup. Moreno blocks the body kick.
Rohl clinches. Rohl gets a trip takedown into half guard. Rohl looks to score some points with some ground and pound. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Rohl connects with a nice short shot to Moreno's temple. Rohl sitting and controlling from the half guard. Moreno wants to sweep but Rohl has passed to side control! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Moreno taking punishment in the form of punches.
That's one minute gone in the round. Moreno tries to get back to half guard but can't. Rohl working the ground and pound from side control. Rohl working away. Moreno is trying to buck Rohl off. Moreno gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rohl unloading with bombs! Moreno takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Moreno is rocked! Rohl tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Moreno is still in real trouble! Can Rohl finish him? Rohl postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Moreno in real trouble here! The ref calls for Moreno to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Curtis Rohl!
