Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Bastien Giroud (ranked 4101 p4p, 2835 weight class) and Ivan Dragonov (ranked 0 p4p, 283 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 16 - 0, fighting out of London, Bastien Giroud!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Ivan Dragonov!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, James Atkins and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Giroud lands a slapping body shot.
Dragonov gets cracked there but stands up to it.
It looks like Ivan Dragonov has been cut.
We've been hearing reports that Giroud has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Giroud tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Dragonov was well out of range. Poor timing from Giroud.
Giroud moves into range and connects with a jab.

Giroud lands a big right hand that sends Dragonov crashing to the mat! Giroud stays standing though and waves Dragonov back to his feet!

Dragonov tries to break the clinch but Giroud is controlling the position.
Dragonov looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Giroud cracks Dragonov with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Giroud has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Dragonov to stand back up!

Dragonov seems to have recovered his senses.
Giroud throws a nice looking combination but Dragonov bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Giroud is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Giroud slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
That has opened up Ivan Dragonov's cut even more.
Dragonov misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Giroud.
Giroud scores with the left hand. Dragonov knows he should have avoided that one.
Dragonov takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Giroud gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Giroud lands a nice uppercut.
Dragonov wants to break the clinch but can't.
Giroud slowing the pace effectively.
Dragonov wants to break free but Giroud has control.
Giroud lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Dragonov backwards.
A nice left hand lands by Giroud.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Dragonov escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Dragonov throws a lazy uppercut
and Giroud cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Dragonov get stunned by a cross and takes another one on the button. Dragonov stumbles backwards and tries to bounce back off the cage but Giroud runs in and jumps on him with a leaping lead hook that puts him out! Wow, that was highlight reel stuff! Awesome finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Bastien Giroud!
After the fight, Bastien Giroud was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
