Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Platinum Fox (ranked 1495 p4p, 3733 weight class) and Billy Bob Brown (ranked 180 p4p, 425 weight class). Fox comes to the cage accompanied by For Heavy Metal we will die!. Platinum Fox has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Platinum Fox!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Billy Bob Brown!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Anthony Taglia and Alyssa Summers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown misses with an uppercut.
A big right from Brown misses.
Fox drops down looking for a counter takedown but Brown sprawls and moves away.
A bone on bone clash there as Fox blocks the leg kick.
Brown bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Fox's head.

It looks like Platinum Fox has been cut.
Brown throws a leg kick but Fox sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Fox drops down looking for a counter takedown but Brown sprawls and moves away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Brown throws a lazy uppercut
and Fox counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

It looks like Billy Bob Brown has been cut.
A slapping leg kick lands for Brown.
Brown misses with a hook
and Fox counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Brown throws an ugly left hook that misses

and Fox decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Brown's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Fox controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Fox tries to free his leg and advance position but Brown is retaining full guard.
Brown is pulling down on Fox's head to control his posture.
Fox slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fox just content to control the position.

Fox trying to control the action but Brown is working from the bottom.
Brown tries to bench press Fox off him but Fox keeps the position.

Fox looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Fox wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Brown, who protects the arm well.
Fox wants to control but Brown is keeping him busy.

Brown is trying to get back to half guard.

Fox goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Brown rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Fox's guard! Nice work there by Brown!

Fox is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Brown is aware though and is defending well.

Fox isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Brown stacks Fox on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Brown!

Brown remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

That was a close round but I would say that Platinum Fox will probably get the nod.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Brown rushes Fox and presses him up against the cage.
Brown misses with a shot to the kidneys.

Fox's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Brown wants to clinch up but Fox keeps it at a distance.
Fox feinted with a counter takedown.
Billy Bob Brown seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fox moves out of range as Brown strikes.
Fox changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Brown misses with a leg kick.
Brown feints and then cracks Fox's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Fox down.
Brown darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

Fox walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Brown fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Fox manages to avoid it.
Brown misses with the combination.
A nice inside leg kick there by Brown. That's going to slow Fox down.

Brown pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Brown lands a head shot.
Fox keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Brown.
Fox half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.

and Fox counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Brown is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Brown. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

A nice inside leg kick there by Brown. That's going to slow Fox down.
Brown cracks Fox with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Billy Bob Brown is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Brown wants to clinch but Fox slips to the side
and Fox counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Brown is looking to chop away at Fox's legs.
Brown fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Fox has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Brown gets off balance looking for a body kick

and Fox counters with a shoot takedown. Brown fights it but they end up in guard.
Fox is looking to pass into half guard but Brown pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Brown is in guard.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Brown slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Fox is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Fox wants to sweep here but Brown controlling him for the moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fox is trying to keep Brown in close.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Billy Bob Brown showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Fox seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.

Brown throws a big shot that misses.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Fox checks a leg kick.
Fox drops down looking for a counter takedown but Brown sprawls and moves away.

Brown has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Brown scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Brown wants to clinch but Fox slips to the side
and Brown takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Brown takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

Brown moves into the clinch.
Brown unloads a knee to the mid-section.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Fox swings wildly with an uppercut but Brown uses good head movement to avoid it.
Brown creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Fox's defenses.
Brown throws an elbow but it misses.

Fox pulls guard effortlessly.

Fox is looking to regain half guard here but Brown keeps moving and retains side control.

Billy Bob Brown comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Brown has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
