The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maui thuds a left hand into Motts's body.
Motts lands a jab to the nose.

It looks like Raykuza Maui has been cut.
Maui lands with a straight right. Motts didn't see that one coming.
Maui fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

Motts swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
We've been told by Maui's head coaches at Power Plant MMA that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

A little feinted left hand from Maui on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

Maui tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Motts was well out of range. Poor timing from Maui.
Motts let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Raykuza Maui seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Motts fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Maui on the side of the head.
Motts tries to clinch up but Maui circles away and keeps his distance.

Maui lands a big uppercut and Motts crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Motts looks OK. Maui waves Motts back to his feet!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A looping hook to the body misses from Maui. Motts does a little dance to reset his feet.
Motts throws a right and a left that Maui avoids nicely.
Maui lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Motts falls backwards - clearly groggy! Maui dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
