Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Leif Leifsson (ranked 455 p4p, 862 weight class) and Sergey Telegin (ranked 60 p4p, 97 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Leif Leifsson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Sergey Telegin!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Russell Pearce and Joseph Jones.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leifsson scores with a decent looking hook.

It looks like Sergey Telegin has been cut.
Telegin sizes up Leifsson with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Leifsson throws a lazy right hand but Telegin sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Telegin misses with a hook. Leifsson ducked under it nicely.
Leifsson throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Telegin sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Telegin scores with a jab to the head.
Leifsson throws a big shot that misses.
Telegin bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Leifsson takes the fight into the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Telegin.
Telegin's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Telegin jumps into guard, dragging Leifsson to the mat.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Leifsson is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Telegin is looking for a triangle here but Leifsson uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

Telegin is trying to control Leifsson's posture but Leifsson avoids it.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Telegin might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Leifsson haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
A lull in the action here.
Telegin is looking for a sweep.
Telegin is still trying to improve position.

Telegin gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Telegin looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Leifsson pushes past his half guard into mount!
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Leifsson is on top in guard.

Telegin tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Telegin throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
It looked like Leifsson wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Leifsson throws a hook but Telegin avoids it easily.
Leifsson needs to keep his hands up - Telegin had a free shot at his head there.
Leifsson misses with a lunging right hand
and Telegin counters with a stiff right hand.

Leifsson rushes Telegin and presses him up against the cage.

Leifsson is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Telegin can do to turn this around?

Telegin has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Leifsson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Telegin is trying to pull guard but Leifsson turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Telegin is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Leifsson slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Leifsson has taken the fight to the clinch.

Telegin can't find room to land a body shot as Leifsson controls the action.
Leifsson tries to work over Telegin's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Well Leifsson has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
