The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Garrison rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Cruz moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Left hook, right uppercut from Garrison .

It looks like Denarius Cruz has been cut.
Cruz throws a hook to the side of Garrison 's head but Garrison sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Garrison moves out of range as Cruz throws a body kick.
Garrison looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit.
Garrison lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Cruz circles away quickly and effectively.
Cruz let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Garrison throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Cruz's head.
Nice takedown defense from Garrison . No joy for Cruz on that attempt.
Garrison scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Garrison looks to land a combination but Cruz avoids it well.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Garrison throws a sloppy head kick and Cruz moves out of range easily.

Cruz shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Garrison is trying to defend but Cruz finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Garrison has one foot on Cruz's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.

Garrison uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Garrison drops Cruz with a naaaaasty hook - Cruz is in real trouble here! Garrison dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!
