Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Drake DeMatia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luis Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think DeMatia might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Handlebars. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Jones misses with a series of wild punches.
Jones looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? DeMatia is fending him off so far but Jones persists. Nope, DeMatia circles away and we're back to standing.
DeMatia tries to clinch up but Jones circles away and keeps his distance.
DeMatia shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Jones counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

DeMatia has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Jones can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

DeMatia is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Jones really doesn't want to stay on the ground with DeMatia. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Jones content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because DeMatia has locked up a guillotine! DeMatia's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Jones is holding on here and DeMatia must be using up a lot of energy. Jones has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! DeMatia gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
