Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Hector Horn (ranked 4494 p4p, 3032 weight class) and Cedric Paquette (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Hector Horn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Cedric Paquette!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Elvis Blanc and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horn throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Paquette steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Horn. That one must have hurt.
Horn throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Paquette wants to counter with a clinch but Horn pushes him away.
Paquette tried to score with a low kick but Horn checks it.
Paquette clinches with his opponent.
Paquette wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Horn missing with knees to the body.
Horn keeps control of Paquette as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Horn takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Horn has Paquette pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Horn pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Paquette tumbling to the mat - Horn dives into Paquette's guard.

Paquette throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Horn is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Horn tries to free his leg and advance position but Paquette is retaining full guard.
Paquette can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Horn controls the pace.

Horn postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Paquette is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Horn, into his guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Horn is thwarting Paquette's attempts to control the position.

Horn works to advance to full mount. Paquette defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Paquette is squirming around, avoiding Horn's attempts to control the action.

Paquette throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Horn sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Paquette tries to close the distance and clinch but Horn swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
It looked like Horn wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Paquette misses with a wild combination.
Horn has managed to clinch.
Horn tightens his grip and picks Paquette up, before dumping him to the ground. Paquette manages to land in guard.

Horn really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Paquette.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Horn is riding his opponent, not letting Paquette buck him off.
Horn seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Paquette for as long as he can get away with.
