Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Robert Leahy (ranked 1597 p4p, 3305 weight class) and Ryusuke Kitano (ranked 230 p4p, 438 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 14 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Robert Leahy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ryusuke Kitano! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Kenichi Hosakawa and Yukihiro Shimada.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kitano throws a shot from downtown. Leahy moves away and avoids it. A jab from Kitano finds it's way through Leahy's defenses. We've been hearing reports that Leahy has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Leahy keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Kitano. Kitano slaps away a takedown attempt from Leahy, before circling back to the center of the mat. Leahy shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Kitano defends it nicely. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Leahy is defended easily by Kitano. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Robert Leahy. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kitano throws a looping overhand right but Leahy ducks down to avoid it. Leahy tries to score a power double leg takedown but Kitano sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Leahy somewhat. Kitano has worked on his takedown defense in the runup to this fight and it is paying off so far. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kitano keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Leahy fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Leahy shoots in for a double leg but Kitano sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Kitano throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Leahy on the side of the head.
 It looks like Robert Leahy has been cut. A left lands for Kitano.
 Leahy is rocked! Kitano steps in with a hook that catches Leahy right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Kitano follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Leahy looks absolutely devastated.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ryusuke Kitano! An out of breath Ryusuke Kitano thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
