PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Captain Chaos (ranked 3534 p4p, 4754 weight class) and Bruce Wayne (ranked 348 p4p, 0 weight class). Chaos has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Captain Chaos has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Bruce Wayne!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Dirk Anderson and Winston Alpacca.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wayne takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Chaos tests Wayne's chin there with a solid looking shot.

It looks like Bruce Wayne has been cut.
Wayne ducks under a wild hook from Chaos.
Wayne lands the left hand.
Chaos fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Wayne on the side of the head.
Wayne tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Chaos paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Chaos misses with a body shot.
A jab from Chaos misses.
Wayne swings for the body but Chaos moves out of range.
Captain Chaos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Chaos defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Wayne.

Wayne shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Wayne was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Chaos is looking to get back to his feet here but Wayne is keeping cool and he's managed to take Chaos's back.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Wayne throwing strikes from the back - he gets a warning from the referee for striking the back of the head but all these shots are hurting Chaos!
Wayne has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Wayne working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Chaos is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Wayne gets his way!
Wayne is hanging on to Chaos's back as he tries to escape.

Wayne somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back.
Wayne trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Chaos doesn't escape.

Chaos staying busy and making it hard for Wayne to control.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Even with his hooks in, Wayne manages to miss with strikes from the back.
Wayne wants to control but Chaos is keeping busy.
Chaos knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Wayne on the ground.

Wayne is persistently looking for the submission but Chaos is defending it well.
Chaos looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Chaos defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Wayne's arms.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Bruce Wayne dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Bruce Wayne's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Chaos scores with a crisp jab that stopped Wayne in his tracks.
Chaos smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Wayne tries to close the distance and clinch but Chaos swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Chaos leaves Wayne with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Chaos lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

That has opened up Bruce Wayne's cut even more.
Horrible takedown attempt by Wayne or perhaps it was just good defense by Chaos, which made it look bad.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Wayne.
Captain Chaos has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bruce Wayne.

Chaos fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Wayne is breathing heavily.

Chaos cracks Wayne with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Chaos has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Wayne to stand back up!

Chaos darts in and lands a big hook, right on the button! Wayne's legs crumble underneath him as he falls to the canvas! The ref tackles Chaos before he gets to land any more shots to his stricken foe.
