Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Auric Gallahad (ranked 4806 p4p, 3046 weight class) and Pierre St Georges (ranked 567 p4p, 403 weight class). Gallahad comes to the cage accompanied by Go to War. Auric Gallahad has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gallahad dodges the punch combination from St Georges.
Gallahad looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Gallahad shoots for a takedown but St Georges saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
As Gallahad backs off St Georges throws a huge counter combo but Gallahad manages to avoid it all.
Gallahad shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with St Georges but St Georges pushes him off and we're back to square one.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Gallahad tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. St Georges smiles and moves away.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if St Georges can do anything to dispel that myth.

Gallahad has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

St Georges really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gallahad. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Gallahad looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
