Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jaden Stuart (ranked 25150 p4p, 4725 weight class) and Nikola Nanev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jaden Stuart!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Nikola Nanev!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, James Atkins and Richard Clark.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nanev tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Stuart counters with a leg kick.
Stuart lands with a nice body kick.
Stuart throws a nice looking combination but Nanev bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Stuart throws a head kick that misses
and Nanev counters with a three punch combo that has Stuart backing up. Stuart nods at Nanev to acknowledge the strikes.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Stuart is defended easily by Nanev.
Nice sprawl there from Nanev as Stuart shoots in.
Stuart tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Nanev will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Stuart keeps the fight on the outside.
Nanev swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Stuart.

Stuart is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Stuart perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Stuart slows the pace down in half guard.
Stuart seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Nanev for as long as he can get away with.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Nanev has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Stuart is working away from the top position though.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
and Stuart holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Nanev is looking to break free of the clinch but Stuart has double underhooks.
Nanev jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Stuart walks away with a smile on his face. Nanev gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Stuart pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Stuart turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Stuart manages to end up in side control.

Nanev tries to lock up and control but Stuart gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Nanev is looking to get to half guard.
Stuart trying to control but Nanev is having none of it.
Nanev is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Jaden Stuart overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Nanev swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Stuart manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.

Stuart changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Nanev takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Nanev shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Stuart pinned against the cage. Stuart gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Stuart shoots for a takedown but Nanev saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Stuart gets control of Nanev's arms and successfully pulls guard. Stuart will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Nanev drops back, looking for a kneebar! Stuart looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Stuart looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Stuart!
