Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Corderra Montgomery Jr (ranked 4630 p4p, 4702 weight class) and Steve Durbans (ranked 542 p4p, 549 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Corderra Montgomery Jr! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Steve Durbans! The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Winston Alpacca and David Hoff.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice shot by Montgomery Jr. Durbans tries to clinch but Montgomery Jr is having none of it. It looked like Montgomery Jr was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Montgomery Jr shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Durbans is trying to defend but Montgomery Jr finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Montgomery Jr wants to take a breather but Durbans is having none of it. Montgomery Jr wants to stand but Durbans has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Montgomery Jr wants to work for an arm triangle but Durbans is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Montgomery Jr stalling away here and it's allowed Durbans to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Durbans working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Montgomery Jr doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Durbans is tightening it up a little... Montgomery Jr has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Montgomery Jr reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Montgomery Jr taps out! Nice BJJ there by Durbans!
