Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Orlando Mcnally (ranked 4712 p4p, 6175 weight class) and Shakir Khan (ranked 403 p4p, 456 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Orlando Mcnally!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Shakir Khan!
The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Winston Alpacca and Dirk Anderson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Khan throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Mcnally plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Khan scores with a crisp jab that stopped Mcnally in his tracks.
Mcnally finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Mcnally lands with a kick to the temple. Khan shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Khan should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Khan fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Mcnally moves out of range as Khan strikes.
Mcnally tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Khan lands a nice leg kick that just misses Mcnally's sensitive parts.
Khan bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Khan's coach down at Walter J Abramowitz Center for Bigness was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Khan's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Shakir Khan is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Mcnally went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Mcnally takes one to the chin there.
Khan throws a front kick aimed at Mcnally's knee but Mcnally avoids it well.

Mcnally fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Khan, pushing him back against the cage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Mcnally drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Khan is trying to force a seperation but Mcnally has the dominant position.

Mcnally's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Khan bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Mcnally's head.

Khan lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Khan connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Khan tries a head kick but it misses.
Shakir Khan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Khan tries to land a leg kick but Mcnally saw it coming and moves away.

Khan lands a leg kick that knocks Mcnally off balance momentarily.
Khan dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Mcnally. That did some damage!

Mcnally throws a series of punches but Khan moves out of range.
Mcnally on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Khan. Khan obviously looking to wear him down.

Khan takes a swing at Mcnally's ribcage but misses.
Mcnally jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.
Mcnally looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
A chopping leg kick lands by Khan.
Khan walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Mcnally checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Khan tries to land a front kick but Mcnally steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Jab, jab by Khan - just one landing.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Khan. Mcnally shrugs it off though.
A low kick lands for Khan.
Khan lands a jab to Mcnally's midsection.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Mcnally tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Khan counters with a low kick, right behind Mcnally 's knee.

Khan gets caught flat footed, as Mcnally shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Mcnally postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Mcnally throwing strikes but missing.
Mcnally has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Mcnally won't allow Khan to sweep him here.
Khan keeping moving, preventing Mcnally from controlling successfully.
Mcnally throws a big right hand that misses.
Khan wants to get back to his feet but Mcnally is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Mcnally tries to free his leg and advance position but Khan is retaining full guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Mcnally wants to control from the top but Khan keeps moving.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

A nice leg kick lands there from Khan.
Sloppy strikes from Khan. Those never looked like landing.
Mcnally misses with an uppercut
and Khan counters with an outside leg kick.
Khan throws a jab when Mcnally was well out of range.
Khan throws the kick towards the body but Mcnally avoids it.
Khan bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Mcnally's head backwards.
Mcnally throws a head kick that misses.
Mcnally takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mcnally has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Khan.
Khan dips to his left and cracks Mcnally with an uppercut!
Khan thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Mcnally if he has to take too many more of those.
Khan has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Mcnally lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Mcnally shoots in for a takedown but Khan shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Mcnally misses with a few strikes there.
Khan fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Mcnally has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Mcnally takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Khan fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Mcnally is out of range.
Khan uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Mcnally.
Mcnally rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Khan moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Mcnally wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Nice straight punches there by Khan. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Khan.
Mcnally avoids a low kick by using good footwork.

Mcnally closes the distance and pushes Khan back into the cage.

Mcnally's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Mcnally escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Mcnally has his takedown stuffed
and Khan counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

A solid leg kick lands there for Khan.
Mcnally throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Khan lands with a hook. Mcnally tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Mcnally throws a head kick but Khan moves out of range.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Khan connects with a good right hand that stumbles Mcnally. Mcnally circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Mcnally looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.

Khan feints and then cracks Mcnally's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Mcnally down.

Khan lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Mcnally at a distance.

Mcnally looks for the body kick but Khan saw that one coming.

A punch lands to the side of Mcnally 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Nice uppercut there from Khan.
Khan lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Khan dips to his left and cracks Mcnally with an uppercut!
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Shakir Khan showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!

Khan tries to break free but Mcnally pushes him back against the cage.
Khan goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Mcnally pulls guard successfully.
Khan landing with the ground and pound.
Khan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mcnally. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Khan throws a strike but Mcnally rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Mcnally advances to half guard.
Mcnally wants to take a breather but Khan is having none of it.
Mcnally not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Mcnally thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Mcnally stalling.
Mcnally throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Mcnally trying to control the pace.
Mcnally will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Mcnally throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Khan is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
Mcnally missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.

Mcnally is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Khan has managed to free his arm - good work.
Khan tries to roll over but Mcnally keeps him under control.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Orlando Mcnally.
I think Khan has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
