Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fedor Emperor (ranked 2811 p4p, 2817 weight class) and Buck Rogers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Emperor kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Enae Volare Mezzo. Buck Rogers is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Fedor Emperor! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Buck Rogers! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Frank Dennis and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Emperor ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Rogers moves away. Rogers misses the shot to the body. Emperor getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Emperor scores with a crisp jab that stopped Rogers in his tracks. Emperor slips a straight right by Rogers. Emperor digs a good hook to Rogers's body.
Rogers looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Fedor Emperor seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Emperor misses with an uppercut
enabling Rogers to counter with a crisp jab. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Emperor lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Rogers walks into a straight right hand from Emperor. Rogers misses with a left hand and Emperor counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. This has been an exciting period of action! Emperor misses with an uppercut
and Rogers counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
It looks like Fedor Emperor has been cut.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rogers slips a straight right by Emperor. Emperor ducks under a wild hook from Rogers. Rogers throws a poor cross that misses
and Emperor connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Rogers has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Emperor finds it's way round the side to connect with Rogers's head. Emperor looks to land a left hand but Rogers moved out of range nicely. Rogers ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Rogers lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Emperor's corner calls for a 1-2. Emperor obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Emperor lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Emperor takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Rogers throws out a loose jab but Emperor uses good head movement to avoid it. Emperor swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rogers takes one on the button. Emperor fails in his attempt to clinch. An inside leg kick lands from Rogers. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Rogers throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Emperor's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Rogers dives in looking to finish as Emperor flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Rogers's strikes! Rogers is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Emperor's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Emperor was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Buck Rogers! Buck Rogers very nearly forgot to thank Voodoo Nutrition amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name.
