Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jacob Parker (ranked 718 p4p, 1468 weight class) and Bjorn Akerfeldt (ranked 106 p4p, 196 weight class). Bjorn Akerfeldt acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jacob Parker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bjorn Akerfeldt!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Ron Honeybunn and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Akerfeldt manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Parker on his heels. He'll look to pass Parker's guard now, I'm sure.
Akerfeldt loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Parker is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Parker working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Akerfeldt.
Parker wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Akerfeldt stands and steps away. Parker gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Akerfeldt is looking to clinch but Parker is avoiding it.
As Akerfeldt tries to get set, Parker tries to push him back and clinch up but Akerfeldt manages to avoid the attempt.
Parker throws the left hand but Akerfeldt avoids the punch easily.
Akerfeldt throws out a counter right but Parker avoids it with no problem.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Akerfeldt has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Akerfeldt gets in close and instigates a clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Akerfeldt is trying to break the clinch but Parker has him pressed against the cage.
Parker has a couple of punches blocked by Akerfeldt.

An uppercut to the body lands inside from Parker.
Parker pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Akerfeldt shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Parker pinned against the cage. Parker gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Parker moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
It looks like Bjorn Akerfeldt has been cut.
Parker has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Andy's Sweaty Men in the buildup to the fight.
Akerfeldt shoots in for a takedown but Parker shows good takedown defense.

enabling Parker to counter with a crisp jab.
Jacob Parker has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bjorn Akerfeldt.
Parker misses with a lunging right hand
and Akerfeldt counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Parker sends Akerfeldt crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Parker is motioning to the referee to let Akerfeldt up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Horrible takedown attempt by Akerfeldt or perhaps it was just good defense by Parker, which made it look bad.
Akerfeldt takes the fight into the clinch.

Parker makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Akerfeldt jumps guard but Parker turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Parker breaks the clinch.
Parker throws a shot from downtown. Akerfeldt moves away and avoids it.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Akerfeldt! But no joy.
Jacob Parker is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Parker drops Akerfeldt with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Akerfeldt looks back up at him and smiles so Parker waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Akerfeldt is rocked!
Parker connects with a stiff jab that staggers Akerfeldt - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Jacob Parker!
Jacob Parker seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
