Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Baldomir Barbosa (ranked 1109 p4p, 1192 weight class) and John Fuller (ranked 161 p4p, 176 weight class). Barbosa comes to the cage accompanied by Unfaithful. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Ben Hemmingworth and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fuller fails to land with a series of punches.
A little feinted left hand from Barbosa on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Barbosa misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Fuller.
Fuller throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Fuller tries to bum rush Barbosa with a series of wild strikes but Barbosa uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Fuller shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Fuller was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Barbosa is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Fuller is one step ahead and moves to full mount!

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Fuller wants to take a breather but Barbosa is having none of it.
Fuller looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Barbosa with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Fuller has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
