Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ceedee Queen (ranked 1764 p4p, 1678 weight class) and Darry Curtis (ranked 248 p4p, 238 weight class). Curtis has chosen Stevie Wonder - Stay Gold as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ceedee Queen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Darry Curtis!
The judges for this bout are Ben Watson, Eliza Hachem and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Curtis tests Queen's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Queen takes one to the side of the head.

Queen swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Curtis.
Curtis is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Queen is defended easily by Curtis.

Queen fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Curtis avoids it really well and circles away.

Queen's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Curtis connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Queen scrambles back to his feet.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Queen lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Curtis felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

The cut above Darry Curtis's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Queen postures up and throws a massive shot that knocks Curtis out cold! Two more strikes to his unconscious opponent for good luck and this one is all over! Queen goes absolutely crazy with his corner! Wow, you can see how much that win means to him!

After the fight, Ceedee Queen was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
