And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ashton Currie!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Chris Dean and Hugh Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Currie fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Price on the side of the head.

It looks like Paul Price has been cut.
Currie ducks under a wild hook from Price.
Price lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Currie circles away quickly and effectively.
Currie dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Price misses with a hook to the body
and Currie counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Currie throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Price is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Price doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Currie keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Price looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Price swings for the body but Currie moves out of range.
Currie swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Price takes one to the chin there.
A punch combination from Price misses.
Currie misses with a body shot.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Currie throws a looping overhand right but Price ducks down to avoid it.

It looks like Ashton Currie has been cut.
Currie scores with a jab to the head.
Currie lands a body shot.
Currie swings for the body but Price moves out of range.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Currie throws a jab when Price was well out of range.
Currie throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Price ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Currie misses with a right hand
and Price cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Currie dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
No joy there for Price, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Price swinging wildly here.
Price keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Currie moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Price fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Currie tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Currie avoids a punch combination nicely.
Price throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Currie staying out of range there.

Price steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Currie.
Currie lands a nice looking body shot.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A jab from Currie misses.
Price gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Currie.
A punch lands to the side of Price 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Currie looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Price takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Currie misses with a straight right.
Price slips under a jab.
Currie throws a poor cross that misses
and Price counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Price moves away from the strike by Currie.

Currie misses with a lunging right hand
and Price makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Currie moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Price scores with a sloppy right hand. Currie should have avoided that one.

Price takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Price swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Currie tries to counter by closing the distance.
Price takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Price misses with a combination
and Currie counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Currie moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

Price is rocked!
Currie gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Price.
Oh Price is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Currie loads up on a big right hand but Price slips the punch.
Price seems to have got his legs back now.
Nice shot by Currie.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Currie throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

and Currie comes in over the top with a devastating right hand! Price stumbles back against the cage, looking to regain his senses but Currie is on him like rabid pit bull! Price slumps to the ground under a storm of punches and this fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:07 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ashton Currie!
Ashton Currie bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
