Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Maximilian Rockatansky (ranked 2451 p4p, 1276 weight class) and Derrick Barnes (ranked 327 p4p, 190 weight class). Barnes has chosen We Want The Funk as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Derrick Barnes has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Maximilian Rockatansky!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Derrick Barnes !
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, David Schapiro and Columbo Gatti.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barnes is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Rockatansky.
Rockatansky is looking to counter punch.
Rockatansky leaves Barnes with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Barnes closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Rockatansky has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.
Rockatansky wants to improve his position but Barnes is controlling well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
