Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Rasmus Reedtz (ranked 867 p4p, 847 weight class) and Thip Top (ranked 104 p4p, 102 weight class). Top has chosen Mars Simula - Chevelle as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rasmus Reedtz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 16 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Thip Top! The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Chad Campbell and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Top avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Top fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Top tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Top jabbing away but nothing is landing. Top pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Reedtz takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Top looks to throw the jab but Reedtz is out of range. Reedtz avoids a kick to the body.
Top paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Reedtz has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Top. Reedtz misses the jab. It seemed like Top was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. An inside leg kick lands from Top. Top is looking to score with low kicks. Reedtz connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Top momentarily.
Top paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Top attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Reedtz misses with a straight right. Reedtz fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Top to the ground. Reedtz is now in Top's guard. Reedtz tries to free his leg and advance position but Top is retaining full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Reedtz content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Reedtz with a flurry of punches that miss. Reedtz missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Reedtz is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Reedtz postures up and lands a big shot to Top's brow. Reedtz is in close to Top's body, working some short punches and elbows. Reedtz content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Top working a defensive guard but Reedtz passes into half guard.

Reedtz lands strikes from half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Reedtz working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Reedtz trying to control from half guard but Top is working away. Reedtz working over Top with some ground and pound. Top looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. We've been hearing that Reedtz has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Reedtz lands a nice short elbow. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Reedtz lands strikes from half guard. Reedtz seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Reedtz seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Top does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Reedtz working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Reedtz working over Top with some ground and pound. Top looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Reedtz looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Top is refusing to be controlled, as Reedtz sits in half guard. Reedtz is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Reedtz is trying to control the action in half guard but Top is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Top taking some punishment here, with Reedtz in his half guard. Reedtz has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Reedtz prevents Top from improving his position. Reedtz is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Top wants to improve his position but Reedtz is controlling well.
Reedtz drops an elbow to the side of Top's head. Reedtz scoring with strikes to the body and head. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Reedtz shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Top is trying to defend but Reedtz finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Top kicks Reedtz off and gets back to his feet. Top with a nice calf kick. Reedtz plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Reedtz displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Top throws out the jab. A big left from Top misses. Top tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Reedtz throws the left hand but Top avoids the punch easily. Reedtz looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Top throws a body kick that misses letting Reedtz counter with a right hand. Reedtz throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Top throws a lazy head kick and Reedtz counters with a straight punch to the midsection. A leg kick checked by Top. Top tries to land a front kick but Reedtz steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Reedtz fires out a quick counter leg kick but Top just manages to avoid it. Top stuffs the takedown. Top tries a quick counter leg kick but Reedtz is wise to it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Top thows a left - swing and a miss! Reedtz was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. Top scores with a kick to the body.
Top throws a big shot that misses. A jab from Reedtz misses. Reedtz on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Reedtz lands with a good body shot. Reedtz misses with a low kick.
Top throws a fast counter high kick but Reedtz manages to duck under it in time. Reedtz takes one on the button. A clash of legs there as Reedtz blocks the low kick. Top walks into a jab. Top throws the kick towards the body but Reedtz avoids it. Reedtz closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Reedtz is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Top can do to turn this around? Reedtz thumps Top with a low kick. Top bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. A low kick from Reedtz is predictable there and Top counters with a solid body kick. Reedtz fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Top checks it well. Reedtz shoots in looking for a takedown but Top manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Reedtz's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A good leg kick by Reedtz. Top takes a jab right on the kisser.
Reedtz tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Top swivels and escapes. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rasmus Reedtz. That's going to take a lot out of him. Top lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Reedtz tries to land a leg kick but Top saw it coming and moves away.

Reedtz scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Reedtz waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Top. Top follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land. Reedtz fails with the takedown. Top listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Top slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Reedtz moves away from the strike by Top. Jab by Top. Top has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off. Reedtz blocks a head kick by Top.
A jab lands there for Reedtz. Thip Top is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Top connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Reedtz momentarily.
Top throws a jab when Reedtz was well out of range. Reedtz misses with an uppercut. Donk. Top catches Reedtz right on the button with a cross. Top looks for the body kick but Reedtz saw that one coming. Top is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Top scores with a jab. Reedtz acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Thip Top seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Top throws a good cross that connects.

Reedtz darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Reedtz lands with a punch from half guard. Reedtz misses with a head shot. Top uses the momentum to regain guard. Reedtz cracks Top with a solid left hand.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Reedtz working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Top is trying to control the position but Reedtz postures up. Reedtz throws a big elbow that misses. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Top working for a triangle but Reedtz defends it easily.

Thip Top showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round! A head kick misses from Top. Reedtz displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Top throws out the jab. Top throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Top misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Reedtz walks into a straight right hand from Top. Top on the wrong end of a nice hook. Reedtz looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Top! Reedtz looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Check out the look on Reedtz's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Top is not content to let Reedtz control the position. Reedtz in side control, throwing shots but Top defends.
That's one minute gone in the round. Reedtz wants to lay and pray for a moment but Top keeps working. Reedtz throwing strikes but Top manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control! Reedtz tries to control but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad. Top wants to take his opponent's back but he's not managed it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Top prevents Reedtz from getting the reversal. Reedtz wants to control but Top is having none of it. Reedtz keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Reedtz manages to regain half guard. Good work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Reedtz is trying to maintain the position but Top is very close to passing his half guard. Rasmus Reedtz overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Top is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Reedtz is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Top's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Top's back! Top looking very determined here, making life difficult for Reedtz.
