Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jay Silva (ranked 3098 p4p, 3108 weight class) and Jai White (ranked 406 p4p, 410 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jay Silva! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jai White! The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Daniel Cesar and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! White goes for a double leg but Silva avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Silva continues to drive forward. Silva closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming White to the mat! White manages to get full guard. Silva stands up from White's guard - Silva perhaps looking for a knockout. Silva fails with a takedown attempt from distance. White connects with a solid leg kick. Silva drives through with a takedown into guard. Silva is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. White looking to control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Silva controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Silva is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Silva seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down White for as long as he can get away with.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Silva advances position into side control! Silva slows the pace down. White wings away with a couple of strikes but they don't land. Silva is staying tight to White's torso, preventing him from escaping. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Silva working the body and head with strikes. Silva decides to stand up, so the ref orders White to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Silva tries to score a power double leg takedown but White sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Silva somewhat. A telegraphed takedown attempt from White is defended easily by Silva. A head kick from White lands but Silva takes it in his stride. Silva fails with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jay Silva. That's going to take a lot out of him.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Silva looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Silva slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! White looking for a sweep. Not yet White, not yet. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Jay Silva dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. White shoots in for a takedown but Silva shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Silva thinks about countering with a head kick. White shoots in looking for a takedown but Silva manages to keep the fight standing, pushing White's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. White closes this distance looking for a takedown but Silva circles away. Silva seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Jay Silva has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jai White. White moves out of range of the body kick. White misses with a series of wild punches.
White shoots and misses and Silva holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Silva cracks White with a nice body shot. White being controlled against the cage. Silva manages to break the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Silva throws a leg kick and White counters with a nice low kick that buckles Silva's knee momentarily. Silva lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but White circles away quickly and effectively. White unleashes a big counter combination but Silva bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silva bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Silva stands up and we're back to a striking position. White shoots and misses and Silva counters with a takedown into side control. The referee asks Silva politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Silva prefers to stall for the moment though. Silva scores with punches from side control. Silva thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. This has been an exciting period of action! A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Silva grinds an elbow into White's temple. White tries to improve position but can't.
That's two minutes gone in the round. White tries to strike but it doesn't land. Silva scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at White to see if he's OK. Silva in side control, just content to control the action for now. White takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Silva controls the position. Silva is trying to get an arm triangle but White is defending well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Silva lands a nice forearm strike. Silva tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Silva has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. White is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Silva off and has taken his back! White tries to keep control of the position but Silva is staying busy. Silva trying to control the hands but White won't let him. Silva is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. White is trying to stick to Silva's back but Silva is turning into White. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in White's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Silva. Silva showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Silva advances to half guard. Silva is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that White can do to turn this around? Silva decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. White is looking to slow Silva down with leg kicks. White has a takedown stuffed. Silva misses with a body kick. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Jay Silva dominated that second round. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round! Silva displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from White. White wants to clinch up but Silva keeps it at a distance. No luck for White with that takedown attempt. Silva was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. White dives in and grabs Silva's left leg, looking for a takedown. Silva pushes down on White's head and hops out. Jay Silva has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jai White. White looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. White is looking to clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. White swats away the attempt to clinch by Silva. White takes a jab right on the kisser.
It looks like Jai White has been cut. Silva shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. White is trying to defend but Silva finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
That's one minute gone in the round. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Silva lands a nice short elbow. Silva is trying for a kimura here. White looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Silva wins by kimura!
