Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lou Higgins (ranked 1754 p4p, 1286 weight class) and Tonny Gomez (ranked 243 p4p, 179 weight class). Gomez is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Heal our Land. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lou Higgins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tonny Gomez!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Kenichi Hosakawa and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Higgins tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Gomez paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Gomez takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Higgins instigates a clinch.
Higgins has Gomez pressed against the cage, preventing Gomez from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Higgins lands a body punch in the clinch.
Gomez wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Higgins misses with some punches.
Gomez wants to break the clinch but can't.
Gomez is trying to break the clinch but Higgins has him pressed against the cage.

Higgins has a couple of punches blocked by Gomez.

Gomez escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gomez throws a lazy right hand but Higgins sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Higgins cracks Gomez with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Higgins throws an overhand right that lands on Gomez's shoulder, as Gomez tries to avoid the shot.
Higgins dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Higgins fails with the takedown.
Higgins takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Higgins slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Nice cross by Higgins.
Gomez is rocked!
A looping hook to the body misses from Higgins. Gomez does a little dance to reset his feet.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Gomez! But no joy.
Sloppy strikes from Gomez. Those never looked like landing.
Gomez gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Higgins gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Gomez is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Lou Higgins!
A relieved looking Lou Higgins thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
Tonny Gomez spoke after the fight, saying 'Hes a better man tonight but i aint going nowhere hi there kids @ #HouseOfChange we gon do it i Promise 🙂'.
