Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Abdul Azizsbatereja!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Wilem Tell!
The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Alexandre Firmino and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tell dives in and scores a takedown into Azizsbatereja's guard.
Tell scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Tell is looking to work some ground and pound but Azizsbatereja has wrist control.
Azizsbatereja knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Tell on the ground.
Tell connects with a couple of short punches.
Tell stands up over Azizsbatereja, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Azizsbatereja is looking to stand up but Tell isn't so interested in that idea.
Azizsbatereja wriggles free and stands up.
Azizsbatereja is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Azizsbatereja tries to close the distance and clinch up but Tell swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Tell changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Azizsbatereja looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Tell landing strikes.
Tell looks up at the clock and then as Azizsbatereja takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Tell smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Azizsbatereja defending against the ground and pound.
Azizsbatereja takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Tell creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Azizsbatereja is rocked!
Tell lands a big elbow and you can see that really hurt Azizsbatereja! Tell senses the opportunity and scores with more strikes - he's put Azizsbatereja out! The ref tackles him out of the way to prevent him landing more strikes - this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Wilem Tell!
Wilem Tell decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
