Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Niek Mulder (ranked 1770 p4p, 23423 weight class) and Cajun Spice (ranked 252 p4p, 742 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Niek Mulder! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Cajun Spice! The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Paulo Santos and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Spice lands a slapping body shot.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Mulder. Spice misses with a low kick.
Spice scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Spice cracks Mulder with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Spice misses with a body shot.
Spice lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Spice's corner calls for a 1-2. Spice obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Mulder tries to score a power double leg takedown but Spice sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Mulder somewhat. Spice lands with an uppercut that bounces Mulder off the cage and back into range. Mulder doesn't manage to clinch there - Spice circles away.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Spice darts in and clinches Mulder up against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mulder is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Mulder has Spice pushed against the cage. Mulder tries to pull guard but Spice holds him up against the cage and eventually Mulder drops back down to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Niek Mulder. That's going to take a lot out of him. Spice manages to break the clinch.
Spice lands the left hand. Mulder shoots in for a takedown but Spice shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Spice stuffs the takedown attempt from Mulder. Mulder gets slowly back to his feet. Spice fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Mulder looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Spice throws a body kick that misses and Mulder counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Mulder. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Spice holds on and takes a little breather.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mulder works a leg free and moves into half guard. Mulder lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Spice is trying to maintain the position but Mulder is very close to passing his half guard. Spice tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Mulder manages to move to mount!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Spice tries to buck Mulder off but he can't manage it. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Spice can do anything to dispel that myth. Mulder gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks! Mulder looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Mulder fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Spice avoids it really well and circles away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Spice throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Mulder drops his hands momentarily and Spice takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Cajun Spice seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Mulder moves out of range of the body kick from Spice.
Mulder with a lazy takedown attempt and Spice counters with a one-two to the body. Mulder dives in for a single leg takedown but Spice sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. A left hand lands to the body for Spice.
Spice lands a hook to the side of the head. Spice breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Spice checks a leg kick nicely. Mulder with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Spice to score with a decent uppercut. Spice keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Mulder closes this distance looking for a takedown but Spice circles away. No luck with that takedown attempt from Mulder. This has been an exciting period of action! Spice thumps Mulder with a low kick.

A quick uppercut on the inside from Spice. Spice lands on the inside with an uppercut. Spice's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Nice straight punches there by Spice. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Spice. Spice lands with a hook. Mulder tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Spice closes the distance and pushes Mulder back into the cage. Spice lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Mulder looking to slow down the pace here. Spice breaks the clinch.
A shot to the liver by Spice. Beautiful body shot. Spice lands a jab-cross combination. Spice ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Spice scores with the left hand. Mulder knows he should have avoided that one. Spice tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Mulder was well out of range. Poor timing from Spice. Spice throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Mulder on the side of the head. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Cajun Spice dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action! Spice lands an overhand right. Spice jabs Mulder to the body, keeping him at a distance. Spice is looking to chop away at Mulder's legs. Mulder shoots for a double leg takedown but Spice sprawls well. He's pushed Mulder's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Spice lands a slapping body shot.

That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Spice connects with a body shot that sends Mulder's belly button to the back. Mulder shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Spice napping and manages to drive through into side control! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Mulder wants to control but Spice is keeping him busy. Spice has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Spice is pushing Mulder's head away, looking to escape. Mulder manages to hold on to the position though.

Mulder landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Mulder content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Spice is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Mulder has just dragged him back down to the mat.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mulder working away. Mulder scores with punches from side control. Mulder trying to control the action but Spice is working from the bottom. Mulder moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.

So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards. A cross from Spice lands. Spice breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Cajun Spice is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Spice scores with a jab to the head.
Spice will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Spice connects with the punch. Mulder takes one to the chin there. Spice works the jab nicely. Spice blocks a head kick by Mulder.
Mulder tries to clinch but Spice is having none of it. Spice let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land. Spice getting the better of the striking in that exchange. A jab from Spice finds it's way through Mulder's defenses.

Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Spice cracks Mulder with a good jab. Spice moves into the clinch successfully.
Mulder jumps guard but Spice turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Spice breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Mulder on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Mulder moves in looking to clinch but Spice pushes him off. It seemed like Spice was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Mulder feints and as Spice raises his hands in defense, Mulder changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Spice pushes Mulder off and scrambles back to his feet.
Mulder looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Spice feints a jab promting Mulder to slip. Spice then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Mulder slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Spice lunges at Mulder with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Mulder's hand. Mulder wants to clinch and Mulder takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Mulder throws a head kick but Spice moves out of range.
Spice scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Niek Mulder has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Spice thows a leg kick but Mulder checks it and Mulder counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Spice makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
And that's the end of the fight! Cajun Spice comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Spice winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Cajun Spice! Cajun Spice decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
