Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Nou Hematopoye (ranked 579 p4p, 630 weight class) and Graham Mantle (ranked 72 p4p, 79 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nou Hematopoye!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Graham Mantle!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Chris Downing and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mantle clinches up against the cage.
Mantle blocks an uppercut.
Hematopoye blocking some punches.

Hematopoye decides to pull guard.

Hematopoye is looking for a triangle here but Mantle uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Hematopoye is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Ryōzanpaku Dojo, so we'll see if he gets out of it.
You can see the frustration on Hematopoye's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Mantle connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Hematopoye some visible discomfort.
Mantle throws an elbow but Hematopoye slips to the side and avoids it well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mantle throwing strikes but Hematopoye manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!
Mantle is in a bad spot here and he knows it... just holding on for now.

Mantle throws a strike but Hematopoye rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Hematopoye is fighting to break Mantle's control of his arms but Mantle is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Mantle utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Mantle looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Hematopoye pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Mantle is keeping the position for now.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Hematopoye tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Mantle's elbow.
Hematopoye throws a head punch that misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hematopoye breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Nice uppercut lands for Hematopoye. That snapped Mantle's head back.

Hematopoye gets control of Mantle's arms and successfully pulls guard. Hematopoye will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Hematopoye looking to hit a scissor sweep but Mantle is one step ahead there.
Nou Hematopoye overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Mantle working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

Hematopoye manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Mantle on his heels. He'll look to pass Mantle's guard now, I'm sure.

It looked like Hematopoye wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Hematopoye shoots for a double leg takedown but Mantle sprawls well. He's pushed Hematopoye's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Mantle appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.

Graham Mantle showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Hematopoye fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Graham Mantle seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Mantle throws out a loose jab but Hematopoye uses good head movement to avoid it.

Mantle clobbers Hematopoye with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Hematopoye tries to score a power double leg takedown but Mantle sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Hematopoye somewhat.
Mantle tries to clinch up.
Mantle might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Hematopoye ducks under a wild hook from Mantle.

Hematopoye is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Mantle's half guard.

Hematopoye is working for a submission of some sort.
Mantle keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.

Mantle is looking for a sweep. Hematopoye is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Mantle works his way to full guard. Good work.
Mantle is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Hematopoye is staying active underneath Mantle, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Still in half guard, Hematopoye seems content to control.
Hematopoye is nestled in close to Mantle, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Hematopoye seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Mantle does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Mantle is looking for a sweep. Hematopoye is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Mantle wants to control but Hematopoye is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Mantle is concentrating on defense, preventing Hematopoye from advancing position.
Mantle makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Mantle.

Hematopoye in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Mantle holds on and takes a little breather.
Mantle wants to get back to his feet but Hematopoye is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

I would just about give that final round to Graham Mantle.
